The India Song cast includes Mathieu Carrière, Vernon Dobtcheff, Didier Flamand, Michael Lonsdale, Claude Mann, and Delphine Seyrig. This hypnotic and elliptical tale set in the 1930s focuses on the extramarital relationships of Anne-Marie Stretter (played by Delphine Seyrig), who is married to the French ambassador in India, as the British Empire deteriorates along with her mental health. The Baxter, Vera Baxter cast includes Claude Aufaure, Noëlle Châtelet, Gérard Depardieu, Claudine Gabay, Nathalie Nell, François Périer, and Delphine Seyrig. In monologue and in conversations with two women, Vera Baxter (played by Claudine Gabay) describes her suffocating marriage and conveys her loneliness.
