Despite their apparent differences, three pregnant women in a 1915 maternity ward have interconnecting lives. The Night Games cast includes Lena Brundin, Keve Hjelm, Jörgen Lindström, and Ingrid Thulin. Jan (played by Keve Hjelm) takes fiancée Mariana (played by Lena Brundin) to his childhood home and ruminates about his sexual attraction to his mother. The Girls cast includes Bibi Andersson, Harriet Andersson, Gunnar Björnstrand, Erland Josephson, Gunnel Lindblom, Åke Lindström, and Frank Sundström. Three performers in a touring production of Lysistrata discover how their lives mirror the actions and relationships in the play.
