Description
Voice of Caroline Mytinger by Lauren Hutton. American portraitist and model Caroline Mytinger set off with her friend Margaret Warner to Melanesia in 1926 to record the traditions of the indigenous peoples, wrote two books about their four-year trip, and had her art exhibited by Margaret Mead at the American Museum of Natural History. Photographer and filmmaker Michele Westmorland recreated their journey, located descendants of people in Mytinger's paintings, and captured contemporary Papua New Guinean artist Jeffry Feeger's interpretations of Mytinger's works.
